More Garage Door Calls is an independent publication for people who own garage door companies and want more booked work without signing a contract on a promise.

Who writes it

Steven Von is the editor. He has spent years running growth campaigns for local service businesses, garage door companies among them, and has read enough lead-generation pitches aimed at door shops to know what they leave out: the numbers you could check.

Every guide and post is written or edited by him. Where a guide gives an opinion, it is labeled as one.

Where the benchmark numbers come from

The benchmark report is built from public Google Business Profile listings. Each month we search Google Maps for garage door companies in every US state, collect the public fields on each listing (review count, star rating, website link, hours, category, city), remove duplicates by place, and compute the statistics you see. Nothing comes from behind a login and no personal data is stored.

The current dataset holds 14,382 listings across 51 states. At that scale collection errors happen, so read every percentage as accurate to within a point or two. The report is refreshed monthly and every figure on this site is a live token from the dataset, which means the guides stay correct when the numbers move.

Editorial rules

  • No pay-to-play. No company, product or software gets a recommendation because it paid. None has been asked to.
  • Every claim is either sourced to the dataset, to a primary source such as Google's own documentation, or marked as opinion.
  • Prices are ranges, because a spring job in Phoenix and one in Boston are not the same job.
  • No invented results. There are no "a client in Ohio tripled his calls" stories here, because nobody can check them.
  • When Google or Meta changes something, the guide gets updated and the update is dated.

How the free trial works

This site is paid for by the marketing work we do for garage door companies. The offer is the same every time: a free 14-day trial of any service, no card, text or call. You tell us what you want to try. Any of the twelve services on this site. We set it up in your own accounts, usually inside 48 hours, and run it for 14 days.

Nothing is on file and nothing renews. On day 14 you see what happened: the calls, the recordings, the cost per booked job. Then you keep it at a price quoted before the trial started, switch to a different service, or stop. An owner should see the phone ring before paying anyone, and a company that cannot show results in two weeks should not be asking for twelve months.

Text or call (385) 534-3558, or use the free trial page. The FAQ answers the common questions about the trial and the data.

Try any marketing service free for 14 days.

Pick anything we do. We run it for your garage door company for two full weeks at no cost, then you decide. No card, no contract, nothing to cancel.
